In order to use our service you must first register. Registration is completely free and it will ask you certain details about yourself or your family so that we can match AuPairs to Families.

We are currently working on the registration system and it will be ready soon. In the mean time please visit our useful information pages.

Aupair Bureau is not an agency!

Aupair Bureau operates as an internet matching service only, Aupair Bureau is designed to connect au pairs, aupair plus and nannies who are looking for families and vice versa. therefore you must undertake appropriate checks on the family or AuPair yourself. Please read our terms and conditions before registering.

Why Employ Au Pairs or Nannies?

Employing an Au Pair Nanny or Aupair Plus can take the stress out of modern family life, and introducing someone from another country can often enrich the lives of everyone. Some of our pages will give you an overview of what you will need to know if you are considering employing an Au Pair.

Au Pairs are more flexible than traditional childcare, and can be more rewarding to both Families and children. Families may ask au pairs to do most household duties, except for example, clean toilets, scrub floors, clean out ovens. The au pair English lessons are usually in school hours, and around 2- 8 hours weekly. Generally the cost is paid by the au pair.

The au pair also pays for travel to the Uk and the families pay a coach ticket from the arrival point or if possible, collect the au pair themselves. If you have boys, or older children, or pets, maybe if you want a confident driver, these are the typical situations for a male au pair placement. They are generally less homesick , than the girls. For more details please visit our au pair pages.

Au pair conditions in Britain, France, Germany, Spain and the rest of the European Union are fairly similar. Many European countries have signed the European Agreement on au pair placement.

This agreement states that:

  • The au pair will receive board and lodging from the host family and where possible will receive a separate room.
  • The au pair will be given adequate time to attend language courses.
  • The au pair will have at least one full free day per week. Not less than one such free day in every month being a Sunday, and will have full opportunity to take part in religious worship.
  • The au pair will receive a certain sum of money, as pocket money, the amount of which and the intervals at which it is paid shall be determined by the agreement signed by the family and the au pair.

In exchange:

  • The au pair will work about 5 hours a day, looking after the children and doing light house work.
  • The au pair will baby sit in the evening once or twice a week.
